This hamper is named after the Basilica of Ta’ Pinu which is located in the village of Għarb in the north western part of Gozo. It is particularly known for its annexed museum recording hundreds of stories of alleged miracles, making the church a famous site for pilgrimage.
Its origins go back to a day in June in 1883, when a woman heard the voice of the Virgin Mary in an old chapel. In the following years, many miracles and acts of grace were manifested at the site.
